This table describes the most data-types used internally to DashboardFox. These data types were configured to allow for custom post-processing of data before it is displayed in the client.

DatatypeDescriptionExample
chaCharacter data type – values can be any text string and are sortable as textString of Words
numNumeric data type – values are expected to be numeric and sortable as numbers4387
udtUnix Date-Time – The underlying data is stored as unix date time (number of seconds since 1970) The UDT data type tells Yurbi to convert this value to a date time display. This is sortable as a date4/2/2015 15:35
datSQL Date Time – the underlying data is stored in SQL Date time This is sortable as date4/2/2015 15:35
lnk and ddn and 800This is an internal data type where the field is processed into a hyper link. ** This datatype is deprecated and should be replaced with Ad-hoc field builder feature when creating reportshttp://www.google.com
forThis is when a formula is applied to the field used in the builder. Specifically if none of the base data types (cha, num, dat, udt) applyn/a

A lot of this will depend on the structure of your data, but one of the easiest ways to accomplish this is to use a formula function, max(?).

It's not a very useful error message, but it does have a very common reason. The error is most likely caused by one of these errors in the App Builder (and one potentially due to formulas in the Composer):

DashboardFox allows a report builder to join data between multiple reports (or even apps/data sources). In the Composer section, the Linked Report feature starts the process of combining separate reports into one.
